Beautiful authentic neighborhood spot

Located on a quiet street corner of Boerum Hill, this bar is a historic place which has kept its authenticity and relaxing vibe. Beautiful intricate wood carvings and big mirrors, pool table and cozy little rooms in the back. Would be great to see it a bit more well maintained without losing its authenticity, just a little tlc so the magic can last longer! Inexpensive drinks are a plus.

Great atmospheric pub - Great service.

July 31, 2023

Stopped in here for a few beers while on business in Brooklyn recently. The place looks great from the outside and quirky and atmospheric on the inside.

There was a nice mixture of beers from domestic lite to more crafty brews. Loads of seating, either at the bar or against the walls and windows in one of the more private back rooms, one of which has a pool table. A “pint” was roughly $6ish.

Stopped in before a show at Barclays Center. The place was quiet, but we enjoyed a couple of drinks and played pool in the back room. Charming atmosphere.

Excellent drinks

My cousin, Claudine, said this is her favorite local bar. Now I know why. Everyone’s drinks were on point. The interior is classic old bar. Reminded me of an Olde English bar. Check it out.

A blast from the past

Has a great old-time (or so I imagine!) bar vibe, with dim lighting and solid darks wood throughout no TV, and cash-only. Several nooks and crannies with tucked-away seating, aside from the bar, window seating, and a pool table in the back. Great spot hidden in the neighborhood!
